Use FindChildcare.ca in ChatGPT and Claude

Ask ChatGPT or Claude for childcare in plain words and get the providers listed on FindChildcare.ca right in the conversation, each with a link to its listing here.

What it can do

  • Find childcare in a city, a province or near a postal code, and narrow it by your child's age, licensed care, CWELCC or subsidy, a language spoken in care, or providers with an opening right now.
  • Each result shows the ages served, licensing and current openings, and links to the provider's page here, where you can send an inquiry or join a waitlist.
  • Where nothing is listed yet, it says so and names the nearby cities that do have listings.
  • Providers can ask how to list their childcare service and post openings.

How to add it

We are submitting FindChildcare.ca to the ChatGPT and Claude directories. Once it is listed, search for FindChildcare.ca in the directory and add it. Until then, you can add it yourself as a custom connector; no account or key is needed.

  • Claude (paid plans): in Claude's settings, add a custom connector with this URL: https://findchildcare.ca/api/mcp/claude
  • ChatGPT: turn on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings, then add a server with this URL and no authentication: https://findchildcare.ca/api/mcp/chatgpt

What it shares with us

Only the search details the assistant fills in: the place, and filters such as your child's age or licensed care. We never receive your conversation, your name or your email. We keep a record of each request, not linked to you, for 180 days to see how the plugin is used. Details are in section 3b of our privacy policy.
